Versatility With Gang Sheets

When it comes to versatility in decorated apparel, screen printed transfer gang sheets reign supreme.

GANG SHEETS

The concept of gang printing is a method in which multiple images are placed onto a common carrier sheet. This process is used in an effort to cut costs, reduce paper waste, and maximize efficiency. When it comes to decorated apparel, screen printed gang sheets offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional screen printing while remaining a high-quality option for boutiques, sports shops, and high-end retailers.

When ordering screen printed gang sheets, you have the option to place several of the same image or you can place different images for different jobs.

Remember: Screen printed transfers are made by pushing ink through a mesh screen and each color will use a different screen. Therefore, when setting up a gang sheet with different images, remember they will need to all be the same color(s).

Because of the nature of screen printed transfers, make sure your gang sheet is setup to include images that are all in the same color(s).

VERSATILITY

Utilizing gang sheets when ordering screen printed heat transfers can be a cost-effective option to decorate various sized items without paying for multiple set-ups. Howard Custom Transfers offers several gang sheet sizes in multiple product options. Additionally, many of our custom screen printed transfers – both plastisol and water based – are extremely versatile, meaning they can be applied to a plethora of fabric options.

In the following example, we placed several different images onto our Oversized Gang Sheet sized at 12.5x17. We chose this sheet size because it happens to be the largest option for plastisol multi-color designs. However, there are larger options for single-color or specialty screen printed products.

Pro Tip: Fill the gang sheet edge-to-edge. All margins have been accounted for.

Our goal was to customize a cotton canvas tote, linen tea towel, and cotton/poly blend t-shirt with coordinating designs. When choosing a product, we opted for Howard Multi-Purpose because it was suitable for all of the fabrics and offered a more cost-effective option than other screen printed products available.

As you can see, we were able to comfortably fit an image for each application onto the Oversize Gang Sheet. For the t-shirt, we fit an image sized at 8.75x9.5. For the tote bag, we fit an image sized at 5x5.5. Lastly, for the tea towel, we fit an image sized at 5x8.5.

Pro Tip: Make the most of your gang sheet. If you have extra space, consider filling it with custom tagless labels for your company!
