Starting June 1st, Howard Custom Transfers is offering a new option — and we think it’s going to change how a lot of decorators handle these jobs.
Introducing DTF Names + Numbers.
What It Is
DTF Names + Numbers are direct-to-film heat transfers, produced per piece, in full color. You can order names only, numbers only, or combined name and number sets. They’re pre-cut, ready to press, and priced individually — so you’re only paying for what you need.
There are no gang sheets to build, no minimums to hit, and no color matching fees. Just straightforward per-piece pricing across a wide range of sizes, from small chest numbers up to full back name and number combinations.
Why It Matters for Decorators
The core problem with personalization has always been economics. Vinyl works, but the color constraints mean some customers can’t get exactly what they want. And for runs under a dozen pieces, the math rarely works out cleanly.
DTF Names + Numbers changes the equation on both ends. Because it’s printed digitally, any color is available at no extra charge — which means you’re not turning down customers who need a specific shade to match their uniform. And because it’s priced per piece with no minimum, short runs are just as easy to quote as large ones.
For decorators who work with rec leagues, youth sports, schools, or anyone doing mixed-name orders, this is a meaningful shift. You’re not giving up margin to be competitive — you’re just removing a bottleneck.
How It Works
Ordering DTF Names + Numbers follows the same process as the rest of the HCT lineup. Submit your order through the customer portal, specify your sizes and names or numbers, and we handle production. Transfers arrive pre-cut and ready to press using the same application settings as our other DTF products — no new equipment or process changes required on your end.
